Production Manager for Sand Flight, a dance piece choreographed by Ingri Fiksdal and Jonas Petersen. My primary responsibility was the installation of 580 tonnes of sand, AV, bleacher seating, back of house needs and site remediation. Photo by Mila Bright Zlatanovic.

Eight dancers performed on the sand dune, which measured 52' wide and 17' high. The sand was delivered in one day with 26 dump trucks, an excavator and a stone slinger. Photo by Mila Bright Zlatanovic.

Special attention needed to be paid to getting the correct angle of the dune to make it safe for the dancers. Photo by Marlowe Porter.

The performance included a 50 person community choir and a recorded audio score by Lasse Marhaug. Photo by Marlowe Porter.

At the end of each rehearsal and show, the dune needed to be hand-raked back into an untouched state, watered, fenced off, and tarped overnight. Photo by Mila Bright Zlatanovic.

Production Manager for Declaration of the Understory (2025) by Tania Willard. This involved sourcing and printing on reflective mesh. These images catch the light from streetlights and passing cars to bounce light through the dark area under the Gardiner Expressway. Photo by Mila Bright Zlatanovic.

Declaration of the Understory also involved projecting these flower designs onto the bents of the Gardiner Expressway.

Tania was committed to using gobo projectors instead of a digital projector. I used Rhino to model where the projector beams would fall in order to map the gobo projections onto the bents. It was a difficult process but we got there!

Production Manager for Second Shade (2025) by Mary Mattingly. The installation involved installing a 20' high scaffolding structure on top of a hill, tied down to helical piles embedded in the hill. Photo by Samuel Engelking.

The process was very collaborative, with me designing drafts of the sculpture in Rhino for Mary to review and make adjustments to.

Co-Producer for Dominoes (2024). In addition to assisting with procurement and day-of event logistics, I managed the recruitment, training and deployment of 250+ volunteers who helped build a 2.5km domino route through downtown Toronto.

Massive crowds followed the dominoes as they toppled towards Lake Ontario.

Producer for Groundcover (2023) by Genesis Baez.

Groundcover was created by taking archival film negatives of the construction of the Gardiner Expressway and burying them under the highway. The images then "cooked" in the Bentway's bioswales, filtration gardens designed to absorb the different chemicals from the Expressway's runoff.

The resulting corroded images were then printed and installed in the bioswale gardens. Photo by Samuel Engelking.
